GN4G: "it's your turn" Viticulture

Hello Gamers In this episode we talk about the fabulous game from Stonemaier games called viticulture. In Viticulture, the players find themselves in the roles of people in rustic, pre-modern Tuscany who have inherited meager vineyards. They have a few plots of land, an old crushpad, a tiny cellar, and three workers. They each have a dream of being the first to call their winery a true success. The players are in the position of determining how they want to allocate their workers throughout the year. Every season is different on a vineyard, so the workers have different tasks they can take care of in the summer and winter. There's competition over those tasks, and often the first worker to get to the job has an advantage over subsequent workers. Fortunately for the players, people love to visit wineries, and it just so happens that many of those visitors are willing to help out around the vineyard when they visit as long as you assign a worker to take care of them. Their visits (in the form of cards) are brief but can be very helpful. Using those workers and visitors, players can expand their vineyards by building structures, planting vines (vine cards), and filling wine orders (wine order cards). Players work towards the goal of running the most successful winery in Tuscany. We also have a lot of the crimbo Bantz where we wine on about presents and food etc Jerry didn’t get me that PS 5 I’ve always wanted.....what a meanie. Enjoy everybody!!!

GN4G:"it's your turn" Flashpoint fire rescue

In this episode it’s Jerry’s pick and we play the hot stuff that is Flashpoint fire Flash Point: Fire Rescue is a cooperative game of fire rescue. There are two versions of game play in Flash Point, a basic game and expert game. In both variants, players are attempting to rescue 7 of 10 victims from a raging building fire. As the players attempt to rescue the victims, the fire spreads to other parts of the building, causing structural damage and possibly blocking off pathways through the building. Each turn a player may spend action points to try to extinguish fires, move through the building, move victims out of the building or perform various special actions such as moving emergency vehicles. If 4 victims perish in the blaze or the building collapses from taking too much structural damage, the players lose. Otherwise, the players win instantly when they rescue a 7th victim. The expert variant included in the game adds thematic elements such as flash over, combustible materials, random setup, and variations on game difficulty from novice to heroic. The game includes a double sided board with two different building plans and several expansion maps are available. We also have our obligatory bantz and we recommend 12 games for Christmas to play over the holidays for playing with your family and friends. Happy Christmas everybody enjoy.

In this episode we talk about the newest expansion for the amazing deck building board game CLANK called CLANK adventure party. Expand your game to include 6 players, with 6 new asymmetrical starting decks with thieving identities! The thieves’ guild is recruiting! Clank! Adventuring Party expands your merry band to include up to six players in your dungeon run! Want a new thieving identity? Shuffle up as one of six unique characters, each with their own starting deck and special abilities! GN4G: its your turn - Arkham Horror card game

We are back!!!!!!! Lockdown 2 is over and It’s been 10 long weeks since we last got together and boy oh boy it good to be back. In this episode we have of course obligatory bantz, 10 weeks worth! We also talk about Arkham horror card game. This is a great co-op LCG from Fantasy Flight games based in the Arkham universe. In the scenario we chose we take on the roll of 3 investigators in a lost jungle trying to fight are way out. Jerry decides he needs to play with snakes. Enjoy.

Hey everybody In this episode myself, Mark and Jerry have a good old chat about the board game Obscurio. We also have the bantz about the week that was , do not listen if your a Liverpool fan. So Obscurio what’s it all about..... The Sorcerer is out to get you! Find your way among the illusions, but beware of the traitor in your ranks! The Grimoire guides their team towards the exit using images, upon which they point at certain details. Working together, the other players have to find the exit as quickly as possible while avoiding picking the wrong cards. However, a member of the team is a traitor looking to lead the other players astray. A wide variety of traps are on your way to the exit of the library, making player communication harder! So we give it our rating listen in and tell us if you agree or disagree. Enjoy. Obscurio is a family game, an original mix between an image-based communication game and a secret role game in which the players have to be careful when sharing ideas with their team. Supported by rich contents, Obscurio proposes a fresh new experience in its genre by putting the emphasis on the details of the images and the constant doubt created by the presence of the traitor. Communicate efficiently and avoid the illusions on your way to escape the Sorcerer's library!

GN4G: "Its your turn" Spirit Island

Hey Boardgames.... In this episode myself, Mark and Jerry play another must play game from the BGG top 100 that either myself , Mark or Jerry or any of us haven’t played yet. We also have the now famous obligatory Bantz and this time we talk about mark being naked and Jerry’s massive axe!!!!! We also played a cracker of a game....Spirit Island. Spirit Island is a complex and thematic cooperative game about defending your island home from colonizing Invaders. Players are different spirits of the land, each with its own unique elemental powers. Every turn, players simultaneously choose which of their power cards to play, paying energy to do so. Using combinations of power cards that match a spirit's elemental affinities can grant free bonus effects. Faster powers take effect immediately, before the Invaders spread and ravage, but other magics are slower, requiring forethought and planning to use effectively. In the Spirit phase, spirits gain energy, and choose how / whether to Grow: to reclaim used power cards, to seek for new power, or to spread presence into new areas of the island. It’s a very enjoyable co-op game for 1-4 players that takes about an hour to get you head around. Enjoy everybody.

GN4G: "its your turn" Root a woodland adventure

Hi board game fans.... We are back one again to have the bantz about the amazing and ever so cute board game called Root. Root is a game of adventure and war in which 2 to 4 (1 to 6 with the 'Riverfolk' expansion) players battle for control of a vast wilderness. Despite it’s cute exterior this is war you have to be mean to win. Brilliantly asymmetric and a joy to play. We talk about what we loved, hated and how we rate it, listen in to tell us what you think.

GN4G: 7 Wonders

In this episode myself mark and Jerry played 7 Wonders second edition....a must for any gamer. 7 wonders is a classic and has been remade with some of the rules from duel added to make this new edition even better. Cards have also been given a face lift on the front and back with all the info made clearer and the backs have being gilded ed for that little bit of luxury. There’s also obligatory bantz and James pops in to give his two cents about 7 wonders too. Enjoy.
